Pro Plant Care Ltd. is a Lethbridge, Alberta based interior plantscape company offering tropical plant programs to business clients. Lesley has the distinction of being Alberta's first Canadian Nursery Landscape Association's Certified Interior Horticultural Technician and Southern Alberta's only certified technician. Since Pro Plant Care's inception, Lesley married Ron Swartz and had twin girls, Katherine and Caroline. Pro Plant Care hires additional staff for the exterior landscaping division, which started in 1999. Pro Plant Care has grown from a single employee operation to 5 permanent positions and 2 casual positions year round. In 1992, the opportunity presented itself to Lesley to start a business of her own when she was asked to look after the plants at a Chiropractor's office; because of her love of greenery she jumped at the chance and Pro Plant Care was born. Lesley has made Lethbridge her home since 1990 when she began her career in Human Resources working for the Lethbridge Lodge Hotel and then the Green Acres Foundation, two of the bigger employers in the city at the time. In 1989, she graduated from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia receiving her Bachelor of Commerce Degree with Management and Marketing specialization. Lesley was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and lived in many cities across Canada. Serving Lethbridge since 1992, it is owned and operated by Lesley Colburn-Swartz. This certificate is recognized internationally.
